The XXth Century
talks about itself

June - July 2012

Galleria d'Arte Maggiore has selected a substantial group of artists among the great masters who have written the history of art from the early and lively years of the Twentieth Century in order to realize today a new exhibition of great quality. The chosen artists are those with whom Franco and Roberta Calarota – founders of the Gallery now run by their daughter Alessia – have been working with higher intensity both on the curatorial side and on the market even outside our national borders. From Giorgio Morandi, for whom the gallery is an renown point of reference for collectors and museum directors, to Giorgio de Chirico, with Franco Calarota who is getting more and more involved in the role of curator for exhibitions in public spaces, and then Lucio Fontana, Pablo Picasso, Gino Severini, Fernand Léger, Paul Delvaux. But we have to mention also Franz Kline, Robert Indiana to Antoni Clavé, Roberto Sebastian Matta, Graham Sutherland and then also Alighiero Boetti, Sandro Chia, Pablo Echaurren and Mattia Moreni.
