PARIS | "Red Collar" by Sara Battaglia for Massimo Campigli's opening

Charity Event
Live from the Fashion week in Paris we opened the exhibition "Massimo Campigli. The Archaic Roots of the Contemporary" with the special performance  "Red Collar" by the fashion designer Sara Battaglia made in collaboration with our art gallery Maggiore g.a.m. and the students of Sorbonne Nouvelle - Master Franco-Italian Cultural Industry, giving a voice to women through fashion, a symbol of strength and rebirth in the fight against gender violence.

Massimo Campigli's architectures, well known to Gio Ponti, are often inhabited by abstract female figures, handmaidens of a past that opens the way to the future, becoming totems of a contemporary universe. It is precisely to women that the benefit event-bearing a profound social message has been dedicated.

As stated in the press release of "Red collar" capsule collection and project: «violence against women is a deep wound in our society, and the determination to fight it, offering support and a voice to the women who are victims, is growing stronger. In this spirit, the fashion designer Sara Battaglia has created the "Red Collar" project, which combines fashion and civic commitment to promote the rebirth of women who have suffered domestic violence. The initiative is named after a distinctive red collar, where red represents the strength and ability to rise again of women who have been victims of abuse. By commissioning the production of shirts with the red collar to the Anti-Violence Center "DrittoFilo", Sara Battaglia aims to give a voice to women through fashion, raising public awareness about the issue of gender violence, using the power of clothing to spread the message of strength, rebirth, solidarity, and support. At the same time, it offers a job opportunity to the guests of the Anti-Violence Center DrittoFilo, contributing to their achievement of economic independence».

The shirts are on sale online: www.sarabattaglia.com
