Giorgio Morandi

The main theme of the exhibition is the homage to Giorgio Morandi, presented both with a selection of "Flowers" and "Landscapes" by the Master, and with real "d'aprés Morandi" that the duo Bertozzi & Casoni have created, interpreting and filtering Morandi's lesson through ceramics.

A considerable Giorgio Morandi retrospective celebrates the first forty years of Galleria d'Arte Maggiore g.a.m. founded by Franco and Roberta Calarota in 1978. The Morandi's exhibition features a selection of oils, watercolors, drawings and etchings from the famous still lives to the refined vases of flowers and the solitary landscapes.

The works by the XX Century italian master Giorgio Morandi are source of study and inspiration for the most important contemporary artists, like Ettore Spalletti, protagonist today of three important solo exhibitions at MAXXI in Rome, at GAM in Turin and at MADRE in Naples.

Giorgio Morandi and Giorgio de Chirico, Poetry and mystery meet each other.

In this exhibition, the personality of Giorgio de Chirico is examined including the pictorial views of Soffici, De Pisis, Carrà, Morandi, Rosai - some colleagues that he estimated and about whom he wrote.

A group show focused on the reflection over matter and reality with selected paintings and sculptures by Lucio Fontana, Leoncillo Leonardi, Franz Kline, Giorgio de Chirico, Giorgio Morandi, Giacomo Balla, Allen Jones, Arnaldo Pomodoro.
