Arman "Rampante": The Monument dedicated to Ferrari in front of Enzo and Dino Ferrari racetrack in Imola

The Municipality of Imola together with Franco Calarota, chairman of Maggiore g.a.m., commissioned to Arman a Monument dedicated to Ferrari F40.

 

"Rampante" (1999), an assemblage of five-meter-tall pile of bronze replicas of Ferrari F40 models, is the first monument ever dedicated to the car itself. 

 

The Ferrari gave to Arman the original red color to paint the monument which has been installed at the entrance of Enzo and Dino Ferrari racetrack in Imola, where the Formula 1 - Grand Prix of San Marino took place.

 

Arman, Jean Todt, Luca Montezemolo, Franco, Roberta e Alessia Calarota, the former Mayor of Imola Raffaello de Brasi took part to the opening ceremony.

 

A couple of days later on 2nd of May 1999 Michael Schumacher and the Ferrari won the Grand Prix of San Marino.

 

A sculpture has been edited from the monument in two sizes and in a limited edition. Maggiore g.a.m. is the official art gallery of them.
