Galleria Maggiore g.a.m. is pleased to announce that a group of artworks by Claudine Drai has joined the permamenent collection of Centre Pompidou in Paris.
This marks a significant milestone in the artist’s career, reaffirming Claudine Drai’s place at the forefront of contemporary art. The Centre Pompidou - recognized as the world's second most important institution for modern and contemporary art - now hosts a selection of her works in its perstigious fifth floor.
This addition follows the 2023 presentation of Wim Wenders' video artwork "Présence", which investigates the genesis of creation in Claudine Drai’s artistic practice. With this new acquisition, the Centre Pompidou once again shines a spotlight on Drai's unique and evocative body of work.
Starting December 3rd, 2024, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the profound and poetic world of the French contemporary artist as part of the prestigious museum’s permanent collection — a testament to the enduring impact and relevance of her art.
