As the end of 2018 approaches, Galleria d'Arte Maggiore g.a.m. has saved for last a major show for its annual exhibition program to celebrate its first forty years of activity. For this important goal, the gallery director Alessia Calarota has curated a considerable Giorgio Morandi Retrospective in the gallery's historical location. Giorgio Morandi was immediately followed and supported with great attention by the founders Franco and Roberta Calarota, and today he is the painter who better embodies the gallery's worldwide promotion of the most prominent artists of the XX Century. The exhibition features a selection of oils, watercolors, drawings and etchings, from the famous still lives to the refined vases of flowers and the solitary landscapes, revealing all the silent but deeply intense pictorial innovation of Morandi, suspended between reality and abstraction and still today being a source of inspiration for the contemporary generations of artists.  Inside the catalogue which accompanies the exhibition it's also possible to retrace the perpetual bond between the gallery and the artist.
