Interview with franco Calarota

PREFERRING LANDSCAPES TO STILL LIFES IS THE EXPERT'S ADVICE FOR THOSE WHO INTEND TO BUY WORKS OF PURE POETRY AND, AT THE SAME TIME, WANT TO MAKE A SAFE INVESTMENT.

With a solid international consensus in constant growth, Giorgio Morandi is today among the most sought after and loved artists both by the most refined collectors and by critics and curators - as proved by the exhibitions in the most prestigious museums in the world starting from the Metropolitan Museum of New York - and by contemporary artists who recognize an inexhaustible source of inspiration in his timeless research. In this case, a secure financial investment is also added to the overt artistic value. My advice is to look carefully at the landscapes. If until recently the market has preferred still lifes, now considerations are changing thanks to a more correct reading of the artist's poetics, built around meticulous research in terms of light, composition and volumes. In this historical phase, the acquisition of landscapes can still take place in more advantageous ways than still lifes, with the certainty, however, of buying works that will only be able to see their value increase.
